RSWA 4.9.0 (Upcoming)

Highlights

There have been multiple updates to all our software in the V4 software suite, including:

• Device Manager upgrades for TDS;
• A-scan display in TDS inspection reports for new measurements;
• Reworked part reports page;
• Reworked spotlist layout in RSWA Array Explorer; and
• Customizable active spot color in Array Explorer.

TDS

Features

• Overhaul of the device management mechanism:

  • RSWA devices are not added by their IP in TDS (for devices running at least version 4.9.0).
  • For these devices, TDS must be set to "listening mode" next to the regular device add button.
  • Then on a RSWA, the TDS can be selected as synchronization target to register this RSWA with TDS.
  • This removes the requirement for TDS to know the RSWA IP address so devices may use dynamic IPs again.

• AScans are now visible on TDS (only for new exported inspections from a RSWA device running at least version 4.9.0).

  

• Overhaul of the product usage report page with collapsible accordions, displaying the same structure of groups and parts that is found in Desktop Tools.

 

• Added an option to periodically create snapshots.
• Can toggle the display of deactivated users for the User Usage page and Inspections page.
• Added the option RSWA Settings -> hide-inspections-from-other-users to hide inspections not created by the current user in RSWA.
• Added option to send revisions to multiple devices simultaneously.
• Added option to send revisions to offline devices (only works with devices running version 4.9.0 or higher).
• Revision sending status now persists after page refresh.
• Added dedicated 403/404 page.
• Include additional information in the Part page chart.
• Bead width indicator is now shown in TDS.
• Various API changes: instead of returning a 200 OK status with an error message, the API will now return the appropriate HTTP status code (e.g., 404 for "Not Found").
• Multiple visual improvements.

Bugfixes

• Fixed a bug where TDS would flag a name as too long when it should not.
• Fixed a bug on the Settings page where some values were displayed as empty.
• Fixed a bug where changing the color palette had no effect.
• Fixed a bug preventing non-editor users from viewing the part images on inspection reports.
• Fixed a bug that would result in an infinite reload.

Features

• Highlight the min/max bounds that are violated.

  

• New configuration setting to show an additional warning when attempting to pass a joint with an active measurement issue.

• Added additional option to delete all measurements before and after selected measurement in the auditor.

  

• Added the option to change the color of the active spot.

  

 

• Increased zoom level for detailed images.
• Improved loading behavior of Inspection Browser for previous inspections.
• Added an option (configurable by TDS) to only show previous inspections that have been created by the current user.
• Ability to filter joints with no decision using the programmable remote buttons A, B or C.
• Can retry connecting to TDS on the Export Inspections page.
• Display settings are not available for all users.
• Smaller indentations (below 0.1 mm) and big indentations are now displayed.
• Multiple visual improvements.

Bugfixes

• Saving and restarting an inspection now retains the name and notes.
• RSWA now shows the correct audio device, even if it gets changed while the app is running.
• An Active Inspection can now be saved and restarted.
• Fixed a bug where RSWA would not send inspections to TDS if the IP address has changed.
• Increased performance for large inspections.
• Fixed a bug where RSWA did not display a connected probe even though it was connected and working.
• Fixed layout alignment of the end of inspection dialog.
• For the calendar, the first day of the week is now set based on the system settings.
• Fixed access violation when a selected hotspot becomes hidden via the Hide button in the Display Settings.
• Rename Grid With Captions button to Grid with Details in Display Settings.
• Display measured values next to each slot within every item in the spot list for "List" and "Grid with Details" views.
• Highlight outlier values using colors consistent with the top measurement panel.
• Improve layout rendering of items in the spot list.
• Move the examination icon to the top-left corner of each item in the spot list.
• Fixed hotspot label positioning to align more closely with their original positions defined in Desktop Tools.
• Improved performance when navigating large inspections with many hotspots.
• Fixed a bug where AE would focus on the hotspot label instead of the spot in the image panel.
• Fixed a bug where the indentation bounds would not be shown if relative indentation is on.
• Fixed a bug where clicking on a hotspot in an inspection may select a different label.

Features

• On the Synchronization page, inspection import buttons were moved to a central location outside of the USB page.

 

• Show the number of parts in the Products page.
• On the Routes page, it is now possible to filter the joints by the following:
  • Show spots only in this image.
  • Show spots that are not in this image.
  • Show spots that are not in any of the images.
• Added an Add All button to the Routes page to add all joints to the route, sorted in alphabetical order.
• Multiple visual improvements.

Bugfixes

• Fixed a bug where some accounts with no password could not sign in.
• Search for user now selects the proper user on user page instead of just opening the page.
• Fixed a visual bug where deleted parts that belonged to a group would still appear in the side panel.
• When importing welds from the clipboard with duplicate names, the Skip button now only skips the welds with duplicate names.
• Fixed an error that occasionally occurred when attempting to write a V3 revision.
• Fixed a bug that would duplicate weld entries.
• Fixed a bug that would occur if you try to delete a revision without selecting any.
