Overview

The Tessonics Smart Robotic System (SRS) for automated spot weld assessment consists of two primary components—an ultrasound probe and the controlling electronics.

The ultrasound probe is a 52-element matrix probe fitted with a flexible water membrane delay line and is connected with a custom cable using industry-standard Lemo connectors.

The electronics enclosure contains both the ultrasound electronics and a full system for evaluation, storage, and communication of ultrasound data. It requires only a network connection to the robot/PLC controller to receive weld information and communicate the results, as well as 24 V power.

Software / Firmware

Please note that this hardware manual provides electrical and mechanical information about the SRS system. It describes the software only to the extent necessary to set up the system on a network, establish a connection, and configure it through the SRS Configurator Software.
