New Diagnostics Snapshot Tool for F2 Platform!
Version 4.7.0 of the F2 Platinum Software unveiled a tool called diagnostics-snapshot.exe
which is useful
for diagnosing bugs and problems with the F2 units.
This feature is only available for RSWA units with version 4.7.0 or newer installed.
It collects the following information:
- RSWA software version;
- RSWA settings files;
- Relevant software logs;
- File owner details;
- RSWA user information;
- RSWA system information; and
- Active inspections.
Depending on the nature of the problem, it's useful for the Tessonics customer support team to gather this information to help diagnose the problem. This tool makes it easier to collect this information so the unit does not need to be shipped back to a Tessonics plant.
Using the Program
Follow these steps to use the tool:
- Ensure a USB flash drive is plugged into the unit.
- Go to Settings -> File Browser.
- Navigate to the path
C:/Program Files (x86)/Tessonics/RSWA v4
. - Select
diagnostics-snapshot.exe
and hit Execute.
After doing this, a Command Prompt window should appear, which will automatically save all the information to the USB drive in a zip called YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm.ss-logs
.
If you don't have a USB flash drive plugged into the unit, then the zip file will be saved in the root folder of the C
drive (i.e. C:/YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm.ss-logs.zip
).
This can be copied to a flash drive later on.
You can then send this zip file to Tessonics customer support to aid them with diagnosing any problems you may be facing on the unit.
