There are a couple of steps to attempt to remedy the situation remotely before sending the device in for repairs.
There are many reasons this can happen:
We will go over each issue in detail to help resolve the source of the problem.
If your unit boots into a shell or terminal instead of the Array Explorer software, it is likely because the CMOS battery in the F2 needs to be replaced. Until that is completed, you can still bypass this shell and boot normally by connecting a USB keyboard to the unit, and typing exit or quit followed by the Enter key.
It is recommended to have the unit shipped to Tessonics to replace the CMOS battery. If you wish to replace it yourself, Tessonics claims no responsibility for any damage done to the unit.
If you are having an issue with turning on the F2 unit, even while the device is plugged in, go through the steps outlined below.
Since version 4.0.0, the Device Manager feature was released, which allows you to register RSWA devices with your TDS server. However, it might appear in some instances that only a single RSWA device can be registered with TDS.
Connecting an RSWA to a TDS server instance should be an easy task. However, sometimes with different network infrastructures and enterprise directives, the communication between TDS and RSWA might be disrupted for a variety of reasons.
Follow the steps below to help diagnose this issue.
